Job summary

Montcure, LLC is hiring a Lead Financial Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to direct fiscal operations for a Navy/DoD financial management organization. As the Lead SME, you will be the senior technical authority and principal advisor for the fiscal operations department, guiding a multi-tiered team and aligning Navy ERP functionality with financial, operational, and leadership objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of DoD or Navy financial management experience with Navy ERP exposure.
• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, or mentoring teams of financial management analysts.
• Experience developing requirements and scoping for new financial systems or processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Navy ERP financial modules (FI, MM, SD) and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior Financial Management SME and principal advisor for Navy financial execution and reporting across the department.
• Lead and mentor the fiscal operations team, including workload distribution and professional development.
• Own the reconciliation of UMDs, NULOs, accounts payable/receivable at scale and drive audit readiness.
• Direct budget execution oversight, funds status reporting, obligations, and expenditures.
• Define and lead enterprise process-improvement and system-optimization initiatives.
