A leading manufacturer of navigation solutions is seeking a Senior Navigation Engineer to join its R&D team in Dallas, Texas. The role focuses on enhancing estimation algorithms for inertial navigation systems and developing GNSS-denied navigation solutions. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, at least 10 years of experience, and proficiency in Matlab and other programming languages. Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in navigation and state estimation.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.

VectorNav Technologies is a leading manufacturer of embedded navigation solutions using the latest MEMS inertial sensor and GPS/GNSS technology. We are a fast‑growing, dynamic company looking for senior engineers to help realize our vision.

We are seeking a Senior Navigation Engineer to join VectorNav's R&D team. The role involves:

Responsibilities

• Push forward VectorNav's state-of-the-art estimation algorithms for inertial navigation systems
• Research and develop novel GNSS‑denied navigation filtering, incorporating a wide range of sensing modalities
• Use Matlab for simulation and data analysis based on customers' real‑world datasets
• Collaborate with the customer support team to incorporate customer feedback to improve VectorNav's software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (Master's or Ph.D. preferred)
• 10+ years experience in navigation and state estimation, particularly Kalman filters
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience working with inertial navigation systems, GPS/GNSS technology, and/or modern controls in real‑world data (not just simulation)
• Proficiency with Matlab, C/C++, Python or other software languages
