Job summary

Sawdey Solution Services is seeking a Senior Metrics and Data Analyst to support COMNAVSURFLANT with advanced analytics and data-driven decision support. Lead predictive models, dashboards, and reports across PESTONI pillars to improve readiness.

The role requires Navy experience, five-plus years on senior staff, expertise in data management, and proficiency with Python/R to deliver actionable insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in U.S. Navy as Post-Command Commander afloat or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years on an Echelon 3+ staff.
• Minimum of five years in database design and management.
• Minimum of five years conducting data analysis for complex projects.
• Experience analyzing metrics for the PESTONI readiness pillars.
• Ability to understand Surface Force business practices and data sources.
• Experience applying machine-learning models and AI analytics.
• Proficient with Python and R for statistical analysis.
• Experience producing executive-level analyses, reports, and visualizations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Access, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Surface Force readiness data across PESTONI pillars to identify trends and risks.
• Collect and interpret data from authoritative Navy and DoD sources.
• Develop databases, datasets, metrics, models, and reporting structures.
• Develop predictive analytics, ML models, and AI-driven analyses.
• Translate quantitative findings into actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
• Create dashboards and executive-level reports to inform decision-making.
• Assist with analyses of alternatives and business case analyses.
• Evaluate data sources and gaps; propose improvements.
• Collaborate with government personnel and analysts to reflect requirements.
• Maintain required training and comply with policies.
