Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 years of ship checks, planning and estimating Spec Items and AIT/SCD installations.
• Deep knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items.
• Proficient in planning milestones and MS Project.
• US citizenship required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with US Navy and DoD clients.
• Ability to obtain security credentials.
• Occasional travel permitted.

Responsibilities

• Plan and estimate ship alterations, repairs, or modernization projects.
• Review RFPs and specifications for accurate cost scope.
• Prepare complete project cost estimates including labor, material, and subcontracting.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and POAM to support cost estimates.
• Create BOM and manage government drawings.
• Interface with auditors during price audits.
• Lead lower-level staff as needed.
