Job summary

Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) in San Diego seeks a Senior Engineering Technician to support pre-testing, installation, and verification of Voyage Management Systems and shipboard control systems.

You will inspect setups, troubleshoot Windows-based hardware/software, and coordinate with teams to ensure successful system upgrades. The role requires prior Navy electronics experience, active DoD Secret clearance, and hands-on ability with schematics, network cabling, and shipboard IT

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance required.
• 7 years as Electronics Technician with Navy or equivalent.
• 5 years troubleshooting using electrical schematics and a digital multimeter.
• 2 years lead electronics technician experience.
• 2 years experience with PC file/directory structures and peripheral settings.

Responsibilities

• Witness, support, and conduct pre-testing and INCO on Voyage Management Systems (VMS) and Steering and Propulsion Control Systems (SPCS).
• Ensure application software is operating correctly.
• Inspect equipment installation and validate system upgrades/revisions.
• Support troubleshooting of Windows-based hardware/software and network cabling (fiber optic, coax, etc.).
• Provide waterfront liaison status on alterations, non-permanent changes, repairs, operation, maintenance, and testing of specific systems/equipment.
• Review Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), Liaison Action Requests (LARs), Test Procedures, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
• Coordinate and support progress meetings for projects and repairs
