Job summary

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Mechanical Auxiliaries Engineering Technician III to support U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers at Naval Station Norfolk.

The role provides engineering and technical support to the CEMAT mechanical project team and delivers on-the-job training to shipboard personnel. Strong knowledge of naval shipboard systems and blueprints is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams or other mechanical data for naval hull, mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Two years of leadership or supervisory experience is desirable.
• Extensive experience operating, repairing and maintaining naval or marine propulsion hull, mechanical, electrical or electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Offer subject matter expertise to shipboard personnel, assisting the CEMAT mechanical project team with engineering and technical support.
• Deliver over-the-shoulder and on-the-job (OJT) training to ship’s force Sailors as needed
• Provide guidance on materials, maintenance, and training to ships' crews for shipboard equipment and systems on CVN aircraft carriers.
• Inspect, diagnose, service and repair mechanical systems using a variety of tools and instruments
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Provide maintenance and repairs of shipboard auxiliary mechanical equipment on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers, including centrifugal pumps, air conditioning systems, and hydraulics systems
