Job summary

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. invites a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in San Diego. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying advanced ML models for naval applications in a secure, DoD-aligned environment.

You will build cloud-native ML pipelines, apply state-of-the-art frameworks, and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-focused AI solutions in Navy contexts. On-site with limited travel and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, ML engineering, or software engineering.
• Proven experience deploying ML models in real-world applications.
• Strong programming in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containers (AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Git and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models for naval applications.
• Develop and deploy algorithms and models into real-world operational environments.
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model evaluation, and validation.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and mission stakeholders.
