Job summary

SWCA is seeking a Natural Resources Team Lead to guide a Minnesota/Dakotas program, report to the Office Director, and manage staff, projects, and clients from Minneapolis, MN or Bismarck, ND. Preferred candidates will have 6+ years in natural resources, 4+ in environmental consulting, and proven ability to develop business, mentor team members, and oversee budgets, schedules, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in natural resources/environmental science, including at least four years in environmental consulting.
• Three years of natural resources project management experience, including developing budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
• Experience with federal, state, and local environmental laws in Upper Plains/Midwest.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take ownership and provide solutions; valid driver's license and SWCA driver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Upper Plains Natural Resources Program and regional strategy.
• Recruit and hire Natural Resources staff.
• Provide team support related to technical resources and regulatory updates.
• Promote compliance with safety policies and reporting requirements.
• Evaluate regional market conditions and identify growth opportunities with clients.
• Lead go/no-go decisions and support proposals with Office Director.
• Foster a sell-doer culture through mentorship and accountability.
• Build relationships with industry organizations and regulators to expand SWCA's presence.
