Job summary
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality seeks an experienced Natural Resources Specialist to safeguard public health and Texas water resources within the Water Supply Division. You will conduct advanced reviews and analyses of drinking water systems and contribute to regulatory initiatives. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m., with schedule flexibility as needed. The role emphasizes customer service, technical mentoring, and impact-driven projects for data collection
Qualifications
- Experience analyzing public drinking water systems, including water quality, chemistry, and microbial conditions.
- Experience working for or with public water systems.
- Licensed Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator.
Responsibilities
- Conduct, plan, and coordinate advanced technical reviews and analyses on drinking water information to ensure compliance with laws and procedures.
- Develop and oversee data related to drinking water quality and public water systems; maintain quality control.
