The Senior National Account Manager will lead all aspects of our Walmart and Sam’s Club business, serving as the primary point of contact for both customers. This role is responsible for strategic planning, execution, and full P&L ownership. You’ll drive sales growth, expand distribution, improve shelf presence, and strengthen partnerships with customer stakeholders across Merchandising, Replenishment and eCommerce. This high-impact role blends deep analytical skills, category leadership, trade management, and cross-functional collaboration.

COMPENSATION: $130,000 - $160,000/Year DOE

LOCATION: Remote and able to travel. Preferably in Northwest Arkansas

Responsibilities

Strategic Customer Leadership

  • Serve as the primary Ruiz Foods account lead for Walmart and Sam’s Club
  • Build and deepen strategic relationships with merchants, replenishment managers, and leadership at both customers
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP), modular planning, and promotional alignment initiatives
  • Develop and execute customer-specific promotional strategies, new item launches, and display programs

Retail Analytics & Category Management

  • Own POS analysis and reporting via Retail Link, Scintilla, and MADRID
  • Analyze category trends using Circana to identify growth opportunities
  • Develop presentation decks for line reviews, performance recaps, and customer-facing strategy meetings
  • Leverage data to drive shelf expansion, shelf placement, and merchandising initiatives

Forecasting & Trade Spend Management

  • Build accurate customer forecasts in coordination with demand planning and ops teams
  • Lead promotional forecasting and post-event analytics to understand ROI
  • Manage customer deductions, trade budget allocation, and margin delivery
  • Provide insight into supply chain disruptions, service levels, and inventory risk

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal departments (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, IS, and Customer Service) to align on business strategy and execution
  • Communicate Walmart/Sam’s Club priorities and updates across the organization
  • Support internal presentations for board updates, mid-year reviews, and leadership alignment

Sales Execution & Communication

  • Drive distribution expansion, seasonal opportunities, and display execution
  • Represent the brand at key customer meetings, and business reviews
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide insights to support strategic adjustments
  • Maintain a high degree of responsiveness and accountability to both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in CPG sales or category management
  • 5+ years directly managing Walmart and Sam’s Club accounts from the supplier side
  • Expertise in Retail Link, Supplier One, Scintilla, MADRID, and Circana
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven ability to manage trade budgets, forecasts, and customer P&Ls
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Track record of consistent product sales and distribution growth at Walmart/Sam’s

Preferred

  • Experience in frozen food or grocery categories
  • Familiarity with Walmart Connect, Sam’s Club MAP or other retail media platforms
  • Experience leading Joint Business Planning processes
  • Proficiency in Power BI is a plus
