Job summary

New York Public Radio is seeking a full-time Producer for Radiolab in New York City. The role covers the full production cycle, from pitch to broadcast, with hands-on work in tape, layout of episode arcs, and sound design.

You will collaborate with editors and teammates, and sometimes lead other team members' projects. Candidates should have 5+ years in long-form audio production, strong interviewing and research skills, and experience with ProTools and sound design.

Qualifications

• Five+ years producing, reporting or editing long-form audio.
• Experience creating Radiolab‑style stories.
• Strong journalism skills including interviewing, research and fact-checking.

Responsibilities

• Produce episodes from pitch to broadcast with minimal support.
• Develop episode arcs and craft narratives with minimal editorial support.
• Edit and craft the soundscape and overall production.
• Research, book guests, and arrange logistics for stories.
• Write narration and collaborate with editors on new drafts.
