Condé Nast seeks a seasoned Producer, Audio for WIRED Audio in New York to drive end-to-end podcast production across Uncanny Valley and the Big Interview. You will manage schedules, coordinate with engineers, and craft compelling narratives with high-profile guests.

The role requires 5+ years in audio, leadership experience, strong writing and communication, and proficiency with ProTools, Descript, and Riverside. Base salary ranges from $87,000 to $105,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in audio, audio journalism preferred.
• Leadership experience in a team setting.
• Excellent listening, writing and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with high‑profile talent and production staff.
• Strong understanding of audio storytelling and production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Work on day-to-day production schedule and show documentation.
• Produce studio taping and tracking sessions, including interview prep, narration writing, directing tracking, producing interviews, promos, ads, and sponsor content.
• Assemble each episode and coordinate with sound engineer for mixing.
• Share transcripts, show notes, and social assets with brand teams.
• Book guests, develop ideas, and book talent for WIRED audio.
• Record and produce ads and promotions on deadlines.
• Collaborate with brand EP on long-term planning and efficiency.
• Assist video workflows for YouTube clips and Descript-based editing.
