Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our Thin-Film Lithium Niobate photonics foundry team in Tempe, AZ.

The role focuses on semiconductor nanofabrication, process development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for advanced devices. The successful candidate will operate fabrication equipment, troubleshoot processes, and conduct experiments in a hands-on cleanroom environment, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science, EE, or Physics.
• 5+ years hands-on semiconductor process engineering experience.
• Experience in e-beam lithography, photolithography, plasma etching, CVD, PVD, e-beam evaporation, or metal electroplating.
• Metrology tools experience for process verification and defect analysis.
• Strong DOE, SPC, and data analysis skills.
• Cleanroom environment experience and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on semiconductor and photonic device fabrication in a cleanroom using nanofabrication tools.
• Design, lead, and execute R&D experiments to improve nanofabrication results and process stability.
• Facilitate transition of research-scale processes to wafer-scale manufacturing.
• Use metrology tools for process characterization and defect analysis.
• Troubleshoot deviations and implement corrective actions with continuous-improvement strategies.
• Establish and maintain SPC systems for process monitoring and optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in lithography, wet processing, and metrology.
