Join our team in King of Prussia, PA and play a critical role in overseeing municipal and water resources projects. We are seeking a Senior Municipal & Water Resources Construction Inspector (Sr. RPR) to ensure projects are executed in full compliance with contract documents while providing guidance to other Construction Inspectors.

The Senior Municipal & Water Resources Construction Inspector is responsible for direct observation of construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, resolving conflicts, and coordinating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Review: Analyze pre-bid designs, drawings, and contract documents to identify and resolve potential conflicts
  • Field Observations: Conduct on-site inspections to ensure work conforms to contract documents and recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with Project Managers to obtain additional details or information for proper project execution and address contractor modifications to designs
  • Quality Assurance: Review and verify samples, conduct final inspections, and ensure all punch list items are resolved
  • Liaison Role: Act as the Project Manager’s representative, facilitating communication between the project team and contractors
  • Meetings: Attend and contribute to pre-construction, progress, and project-related meetings
  • Reporting: Provide detailed progress reports to the Project Manager, including contractor compliance with schedules and submittals.
  • Testing & Startups: Ensure equipment and system tests are conducted and properly documented
  • Final Inspections: Participate in substantial completion inspections and verify contractor compliance with project requirements
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized electronic files of all project-related documents, including shop drawings, payment applications, change orders, and correspondence
  • Logs and Reports: Maintain detailed logs of contractor hours, weather conditions, and project progress
  • Field Reports: Document field observations with reports and photographs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of project experience in construction observation and administration including:

o Stormwater

o Site grading

o E&S control

o Paving

o Bridges

o Concrete (Curbs and Sidewalks)

o Utilities

  • Basic understanding of survey, grade and cut sheets, and quantity data
  • NECEPT Field Technician certification in Asphalt and/or Concrete
  • NICET certification in Highway Construction Inspection
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must have a flexible schedule in order to work when contractor’s crew is on-site
  • Must be organized and possess the ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License to travel to job sites, meetings and/or regional office(s)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
