Job summary

Garver, an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm, is seeking a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our Municipal Transportation Team in Austin, TX. You will lead the design and delivery of roadway, drainage, and multimodal transportation projects for municipal clients across Central Texas.

This role supports project management, client relationships, and staff mentorship, with a clear growth path into increased project

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.
• 5–10 years of transportation or municipal engineering experience.
• Experience with municipal roadway and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of municipal transportation projects.
• Prepare and review roadway, drainage, utility coordination, and PS&E packages.
• Support and/or manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client communication.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to EITs and junior engineers.
• Review calculations, reports, design plans, and construction documents.
• Support QA/QC as SME for project deliverables.
• Assist with marketing, proposals, and client engagement activities.
