Job summary

Kane Partners LLC in the greater Philadelphia area is seeking a Senior Municipal Project Engineer to join our established civil engineering team. The position focuses on direct municipal client engagement, project management, and technical review of development plans.

You will review zoning, stormwater, and land development plans, manage MS-4 programs, coordinate permitting, and provide construction support while building long‑term relationships with municipal clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Active Pennsylvania PE license — required.
• Experience with municipal engineering and municipal client representation.
• Strong knowledge of subdivision and land development plan review.
• Experience reviewing stormwater/drainage plans.
• Experience with MS-4 programs, including PRPs.
• Experience with construction administration and/or project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Township or Borough Engineer and provide ongoing municipal client representation.
• Attend municipal meetings and provide technical guidance to elected officials, boards, staff, and stakeholders.
• Review subdivision and land development plans for compliance with local ordinances.
• Review zoning, grading, stormwater, drainage, and escrow-related matters.
• Support and manage MS-4 programs, including PRPs, on behalf of municipal clients.
• Perform engineering design for stormwater, detention basins, and infrastructure rehabilitation.
• Coordinate state and local permitting.
• Provide construction support, contract administration, project coordination, and budget management.
• Prepare technical memoranda, feasibility studies, engineering assessments, and design reports.
• Assist with municipal account management and ongoing client service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients.
• Identify opportunities for additional municipal and utility engineering work and contribute to business development efforts.

We’re working with an established engineering firm seeking a Senior Municipal Project Engineer to join their team in the greater Philadelphia area.

This is an opportunity for an experienced civil engineer who enjoys working directly with municipalities, managing projects, reviewing development plans, and serving as a trusted technical resource to municipal clients.

The role combines municipal engineering, project management, client representation, stormwater/drainage, land development review, public works design, and construction support.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Experience with municipal engineering and municipal client representation
