Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer to lead our Mt. Arlington, NJ team. You will guide capital improvement projects from concept through construction, review subdivision and site plans, and coordinate with public agencies and utilities to deliver impactful infrastructure.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, EIT, 3–5 years of relevant site design experience, and strong communication skills. PE is preferred; AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT certification is required; PE license preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Knowledge of planning and zoning processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job communications.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Review of subdivision plans and site plans submitted by developers for approval.
• Administration of developer sponsored projects that are in construction to verify compliance with the approved plans.
• Design of capital improvement projects.
• Evaluation of public works issues in our municipalities.

Qualifications

Compensation

Compensation: $81,900 to $95,130 per year (depending on qualifications)
