CME Associates is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Cape May Court House office. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing various engineering projects, ensuring their successful completion within specified timelines and budgets. Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project requirements, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to identify project goals, develop strategies, and monitor progress. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Design and Analysis: Perform complex engineering design and analysis tasks, utilizing advanced software tools and methodologies. Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various projects, including infrastructure, utilities, and site development. Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate design alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of engineering designs, calculations, and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements. Implement quality control processes and procedures to maintain high standards of work. Address any deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Client Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives. Act as a primary point of contact, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns promptly. Collaborate with clients to develop innovative engineering solutions, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, technicians, and support staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional License: Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in municipal engineering, focusing on project management and design. Experience in site development, utilities, water and wastewater, roadways, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and CAD tools.
- Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and deliver presentations.
