The role requires strong leadership, mentoring, and business development skills, with responsibilities spanning staff development, project pursuit, and budgeting. HDR emphasizes employee ownership and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and master's degree in Planning, Engineering or a closely related field.
• 10 years of transportation planning experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; client relations and presentation abilities.
• Professional registrations such as AICP, PE, PTOE, PTP, PMP.
• Active involvement in professional organizations (ACEC, ITE, WTS, COMTO).

Responsibilities

• Lead scope development and execution with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor and develop area transportation planning staff.
• Manage staff workload and project delivery for the region.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and strategic planning.
• Engage in major transportation planning pursuits with clients.
