Job summary

Deliberate AI in NYC/Boston hybrid seeks a Lead Data Engineer to own the data infrastructure across clinical modalities—audio, video, wearables, and mobile sensing. You will drive reliable pipelines and governance for multimodal ML at scale.

You’ll shape the data architecture and strategy for secure, scalable data flows across global clinical sites, emphasizing privacy, data quality, and robust engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Experience building reliable data pipelines for multimedia or sensor data.
• Strong Python programming and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with wearable device APIs (Fitbit, Oura, Apple Health).
• Knowledge of time-series processing and real-time streaming architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data architecture for ingestion, storage, and governance of clinical datasets across modalities.
• Build API integrations with wearables to collect raw streams and engineer features.
• Develop systems for real-time streaming and synchronization across modalities.
• Create QA with data lineage, observability, and incident triage to protect models.
• Define data platform strategy and oversee core data stack decisions.
