LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a growing organization in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including taxability analysis, nexus determinations, filings, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of tax experience with a strong focus on multi-state sales and use tax, excellent analytical skills, and experience managing compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of tax experience with emphasis on multi-state sales and use tax.
• Strong knowledge of tax nexus, taxability rules, exemptions and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-state sales and use tax compliance including returns, filings, registrations and payments.
• Maintain state-by-state tax matrices for taxability, nexus, rates and filing requirements.
• Research sales and use tax regulations and evaluate tax implications for products, services and new initiatives.
• Monitor economic nexus thresholds and changes in state/local tax laws.
• Coordinate with external tax providers and respond to notices, audits and inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and use tax processes and compliance procedures.
