Job summary

Medidata is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to architect and operate our multi-cloud ecosystem across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will design secure landing zones, manage IAM, and lead Kubernetes deployments to scale global applications.

The role emphasizes Linux/Windows administration, IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi, and building robust GitOps pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, SRE, or DevOps with deep proficiency in AWS and/or GCP.
• Expert-level Linux and Windows Server administration experience.
• Proven track record running production-grade Kubernetes workloads at scale.
• Strong scripting in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.
• Solid understanding of VPC/VNet design, peering, and zero-trust models.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, multi-account structures and landing zones across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Manage multi-cloud IAM, SSO, and RBAC for least-privilege access.
• Lead Kubernetes deployments (EKS, GKE, or self-managed) and service mesh.
• Develop and maintain IaC templates using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Flux, or ArgoCD for GitOps workflows.
• Implement encryption, VPC Service Controls, and audit logging to meet SOC2/HIPAA/FedRAMP.
