Job summary

Oorwin AI is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Developer in Ohio to design, develop, secure, govern, and modernize enterprise integrations on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for the Ohio Department of Health. The role is hybrid with onsite interviews and a long-term contract.

You will build API-led connectivity using Experience, Process, and System APIs, DataWeave 2.0, and implement security controls such as OAuth 2.0 and TLS/mTLS, while guiding governance and migration efforts.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years MuleSoft integration development and enterprise-architecture experience
• At least 3 years with Anypoint Platform development, API-led connectivity, CloudHub/CloudHub 2.0, and DataWeave 2.0
• At least 2 years working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Four-year college degree or equivalent technical study

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and govern API-led integrations using APIs, DataWeave 2.0, and secure patterns
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts, runbooks, and integration policies
• Assess and redesign Electronic Lab Data ingress for better reuse, throughput, and reliability
• Upgrade APIs for JVM 17 and compliance, plan migration to CloudHub 2.0 with minimal disruption
• Monitor performance with Anypoint Monitoring and API Analytics; manage migration plans and roadmaps
• Write and maintain MUnit tests for correctness and resilience
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, and State IT staff; mentor staff and govern the platform

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and govern API-led integrations using Experience, Process, and System APIs, DataWeave 2.0, reusable patterns, standards, policies, lifecycle controls, and security controls such as OAuth 2.0 and TLS/mTLS.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts, diagrams, runbooks, specifications, data-mapping guidance, integration policies, and position papers.
• Assess and redesign Electronic Lab Data ingress to improve reuse, throughput, latency, performance, and reliability.
• Upgrade APIs for JVM 17 and FIPS 140-3 compliance, and plan and execute migration to CloudHub 2.0 with minimal disruption and validated results.
• Monitor performance through Anypoint Monitoring, Visualizer, and API Analytics; resolve bottlenecks and manage enterprise migration plans and integration roadmaps.
• Write and maintain MUnit tests for correctness, resilience, and regression coverage.
• Work with architects, analysts, developers, business teams, and State IT staff; translate requirements, manage multiple initiatives, mentor staff, share knowledge, and improve platform governance.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of MuleSoft integration development and enterprise architecture experience.
• At least 3 years each with Anypoint Platform development, API-led connectivity, CloudHub or CloudHub 2.0 operations, and DataWeave 2.0.
• At least 2 years working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
