Job summary

Bowman Williams in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced MSP Project Engineer or Systems Engineer to lead field deployments and project ownership. You will drive office relocations, server deployments, and infrastructure refreshes for clients in the Baltimore area.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, planning, and execution of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, virtualization, and networking. You will serve as the technical lead during deployments, collaborating with PMs and senior

Qualifications

5+ years of MSP Project Engineering or Systems Engineering experience.
Strong Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and infrastructure deployment experience.
Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization.
Strong networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, switching, wireless, and routing.

Responsibilities

Lead infrastructure projects including office relocations, server deployments, rack-and-stack installations, client onboarding, and technology refreshes.
Execute project plans, migrations, cutovers, and infrastructure implementations both remotely and onsite.
Deploy and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, virtualization, networking, and endpoint solutions.
Configure and troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V, firewalls, VPNs, wireless infrastructure, and switching.
Identify opportunities to improve client environments through modernization, security enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades.
Maintain detailed project documentation and communicate progress with clients and internal teams.
Deliver exceptional client service while partnering closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineering leadership.
