Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) seeks a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to blend science with medical strategy across oncology, urology and women’s health. Build strong HCP partnerships and support clinical development with insights.

The role covers the Northeast region with heavy travel, contributing to cross-functional teams and investigator-sponsored research. Final title and salary determined by experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of scientific/clinical experience in Urology and/or Women’s Health.
• MSL experience or relationships with HCPs within geography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage national, regional, and local Urology and Women’s Health thought leaders and HCPs.
• Serve as the primary scientific contact and build long-term peer-to-peer relationships.
• Exchange scientific information relevant to the company’s development portfolio.
• Support relationships between key opinion leaders and internal product teams.
• Educate priority HCPs on research and development initiatives.
• Gather medical insights to inform clinical and marketing strategies.
• Lead projects within the field medical organization.
