Job summary

Fulgent Therapeutics LLC, El Monte, CA, seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison for Pediatric Rare Diseases. This role focuses on education and scientific communication for a pediatric rare disease genetic testing portfolio, including FulGenome.

The ideal candidate has clinical genetics experience and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. You will educate clinicians, collaborate with sales/marketing, and present updates while maintaining high ethical standards and field feedback

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited program.
• Board certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical genetic counseling and/or MSL experience is required, preferably in pediatric genetics or rare disease.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and clearly communicate complex scientific data to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on pediatric rare disease genetic testing, including whole exome sequencing, whole genome sequencing (FulGenome), TruPath Genome long-read analysis, NGS panels, and exome-based rare disease testing.
• Educate genetic counselors, medical geneticists, pediatric neurologists, developmental pediatricians, NICU decision makers, and related providers on clinical utility of Fulgent products.
• Collaborate with Genomics Sales, marketing, and medical affairs to support field-based efforts.
• Deliver product training and clinical updates through scientific presentations and roundtable discussions.
• Act as a clinical liaison to key opinion leaders in pediatric genetics and rare disease.
• Represent Fulgent Genetics at regional and national conferences and events.
• Provide timely field feedback to shape medical and commercial strategy.
• Maintain compliance in interactions with external healthcare professionals.
• Maintain deep fluency in FulGenome and TruPath Genome analyses.
