Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to support the pain program with near-term launch focus. The Sr MSL will build and maintain relationships with key HCPs, Thought Leaders, payers, and IDNs, and will contribute to the medical plan and strategy with external insights.

The role requires an advanced biomedical degree and a minimum of 5 years of MSL experience, travel as needed, and compliance with Vertex policies.

Qualifications

• Advanced biomedical degree or equivalent required.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience as an MSL or in medical affairs roles in pharma/biotech.
• Willing to travel within the North West territory near an airport.

Responsabilités

• Develops and fosters relationships with Thought Leaders and allied HCPs to engage stakeholders in pain care.
• Utilizes pain expertise to connect academic centers and IDNs and enhance TL and HCP engagements.
• Incorporates the SEM into interactions and CRM to improve engagement quality and track workload.
• Integrates the medical plan into interactions and territory planning and records feedback in CRM.
• Proficient with CRM and analytics to capture interaction details for strategy.
• Communicates clinical, scientific, and health economic information compliantly to external stakeholders.
• Understands pharmacists, P&T committees, payers, and IDNs and their impact on patient care.
• Supports IB content at SIV meetings and helps nominate trial sites and review end-of-study data with investigators.
• Represents Vertex at medical congresses with session coverage and debriefs; may lead logistics for abstracts/sessions.
• Mentors colleagues and assists with new-hire MSL onboarding.
• Performs CRM entry and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
