Job summary

Vertex seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison to support the pain program and near-term launch in the United States. The role acts as a scientific liaison to HCPs and stakeholders, shaping medical strategy and disseminating data in a timely, ethical manner.

The Sr MSL will cultivate relationships with Thought Leaders, use SEM concepts in all interactions, and contribute to the medical plan through insights and territory planning. Strong communication and regulatory acumen are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of MSL or equivalent experience in pharma/biotech.
• Willingness to travel consistently across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain trusted relationships with Thought Leaders and HCPs in pain.
• Engage stakeholders with scientific and health-economic data, ethically.
• Integrate medical plans into territory planning and CRM updates.
• Present IB content and support trial site nominations when needed.
• Lead or mentor colleagues and manage field activities with coaching.
