Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Medical Affairs to serve as field-based medical expert; conduct mutual scientific exchange with KOLs, HCPs, and stakeholders while demonstrating deep expertise in uniQure gene therapy products and therapeutic areas.

You will build and maintain regional KOL relationships, support ISS and clinical development activities, and train speakers to advance medical education for payers, providers, and patient groups.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD with 4+ years MSL experience in biotech
• Strong scientific/clinical communication and presentation skills
• Autonomy and ability to build cross-functional relationships
• Regulatory knowledge and understanding of clinical research and healthcare systems

Responsibilities

• Serve as field-based medical expert; conduct mutual scientific exchange with KOLs, HCPs, and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain regional KOL relationships; identify and develop collaborations with key experts, investigators, and institutions.
• Represent Medical Affairs at scientific conferences, CME events, and medical meetings.
• Capture and communicate scientific insights to internal stakeholders.
• Support investigator-sponsored studies (ISS) and clinical development activities.
• Provide medical information and training for payers, providers, patient advocacy groups, and others.
• Document and forward adverse event reports per company policy.
• Work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Market Access, HEOR, R&D, Medical Information, Commercial while maintaining compliance.
