Job summary

The Senior MRI Technologist at Boston Children’s Hospital performs complex MRI procedures, ensures patient safety, mentors staff, and assists with operational duties while maintaining high-quality imaging standards and departmental compliance.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification, MA license preferred, BLS, and at least 3 years of MRI experience, with opportunities for training and leadership across the department and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• ARRT MRI certification and MA MRI license (preferred).
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex MRI procedures with emphasis on patient safety and data integrity.
• Train and mentor staff, fellows, residents, and students in MRI techniques.
• Oversee equipment, QA projects, inventory, and department workflows.
• Provide leadership support and drive process improvements.
• Maintain supportive patient interactions and explain procedures clearly.
