Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited radiography program.
ARRT MR certification in good standing.
California State License (CRT).
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2) required.
Commitment to extended hours or emergency shifts as needed to maintain coverage.
Continuing education requirements: 24 ECE credits over a two-year period.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions with minimal supervision.
Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations and document accordingly.
Assume responsibilities for designated MRI areas, producing high-quality images and reviewing exams.
Troubleshoot departmental technical issues per guidelines.
Apply ALARA principles for all patients and members.
Complete QC sheets accurately and review schedule for gaps in coverage.
