Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to support brain-imaging research on dedicated 3T systems (Siemens/GE). The role combines patient care with protocol implementation, image-quality assessment, and data management in a fast-paced research setting.

Responsibilities include screening and positioning participants, safety oversight, troubleshooting, QC, and collaboration with investigators.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field.
• Two years MRI experience with human populations.
• ARRT MR registration and BLS certification.
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced research MRI examinations using study-specific protocols on Siemens and GE 3T systems.
• Screen, prepare, position, educate, and monitor research participants while maintaining MRI safety and comfort.
• Evaluate image quality and troubleshoot acquisition, equipment, peripheral, and task-related issues.
• Perform and document scanner quality control, equipment checks, and corrective follow‑up.
• Collaborate with investigators on protocol implementation, testing, parameter selection, and documentation.
• Process, transfer, verify, store, and back up imaging and raw data using approved workflows.
• Train research personnel and maintain study, safety, scanner, and regulatory documentation.
