Siemens Healthineers seeks a Sr. Scientist for MR R&D Collaborations based in New York, NY, collaborating with leading academic partners to drive MR research and translate findings into products.

You will lead collaboration programs, develop prototypes, and publish results while shaping clinical and cross-modality developments. The role requires a PhD in relevant fields, strong MR physics background, and extensive collaboration with internal/external partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Imaging Physics, or equivalent.
• Exceptional communication skills – in all formats: writing, presentation, verbal.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
• Strong background in MR physics and pulse sequence design.
• Experience with C++/C software design and MATLAB for signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with academic partners to drive MR research and translate this knowledge into MR products.
• Drive collaboration management and develop academic–industry partnership grants.
• Contribute to product development, software maintenance and protocol development.
• Provide content for articles, abstracts, and marketing materials; support educational meetings and site visits.
