Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Motorsports Software team in a hybrid role based near Charlotte, NC. You will lead delivery of complex software, develop across languages and frameworks, and ensure reliability for podium-level motorsports operations.

The role requires strong C#/.NET, React, and Azure expertise, with experience in web/Electron development, CI/CD, and UX design. On-call shifts and weekend rotations are part of the calendar.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years developing web or Electron applications.
• Excellent knowledge of C#/.NET and React.
• Strong Azure experience and use of cloud resources.
• Understanding of CI/CD, testing and documentation best practices.
• Experience in agile/scrum environments delivering full stack features.
• UI design experience with solid UX understanding.
• Knowledge of different web platforms and reuse strategies.
• Track record of maintaining and debugging live production software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the delivery of complex software projects.
• Develop high-quality applications using standard frameworks and practices.
• Demonstrate proficiency across multiple languages, tools, and technologies.
• Perform performance tuning and usability improvements.
• Identify and remediate code quality, security, and usability issues.
• Debug, maintain, and enhance live systems used in operations.
• Collaborate with Motorsports Engineering and trackside teams.
• Mentor junior developers and review code to uphold standards.
