Innomotics LLC in Norwood, Ohio, is seeking a Senior Motor Test Engineer to lead test operations for large industrial motors and drive systems. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining test field equipment, planning complex system tests, and troubleshooting drives, motors, and control systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial electrical systems, AC/DC drives, CAD, and safety practices, with 7+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in industrial electrical systems, motor testing, or related heavy industrial fields.
• Strong knowledge of AC motors and generators (MV preferred).
• Experience commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting VSDs and motors.
• Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI-based control systems.
• Ability to read and modify CAD drawings.
• Strong safety mindset and electrical safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and upkeep of Motor Test Field equipment to ensure reliability and readiness for testing.
• Plan and coordinate complex system tests involving motors, variable speed drives, and supporting equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with variable speed drives, motors, control systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Support test setup, data acquisition, and safe operation of test cells.
