tastytrade in Chicago, IL is seeking a senior motion designer to elevate our creative team with top-tier animation and design across marketing channels. You’ll own concepts from brief to final render, build motion systems, and deliver across digital, social, video, and brand campaigns.

Expertise in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D tools is required, with 8+ years in an agency or in-house team. This is an in-person role in the West Loop, three days a week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional visual design experience in an agency or in-house team.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating senior-level motion and graphic design work.
• Proficient in multiple channels including digital marketing and brand campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Elevate campaigns across digital marketing and brand channels.
• Translate briefs into polished motion graphics from storyboards to final animation.
• Own production pipeline: asset prep, animation, rendering, and delivery.
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and strategists to ensure on-brand output.
• Incorporate generative AI tools into workflows.
• Stay current with design trends and provide constructive feedback.
