Job summary

Lendistry is seeking an Underwriter III to evaluate and approve residential mortgage loans in accordance with company, investor, and regulatory guidelines, ensuring sound credit decisions and timely turnaround. Some travel may be required.

You will analyze borrower credit, review financial statements, and assess risk while coordinating with processing to resolve complex files and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience underwriting Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loans.
• Active and current FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) and SAR certification required.
• Strong experience underwriting purchase transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products per guidelines, ensuring timely turnaround.
• Analyze borrower credit profiles and issue sound credit decisions from financial statements and credit reports.
• Collaborate with Processing to resolve complex files and expedite underwriting submissions.
