Job summary

Prosperity Home Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Mortgage Appraiser Reviewer to perform detailed desk reviews of residential appraisal reports and ensure adherence to USPAP, client guidelines, and internal policies. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or related discipline with at least five years of real estate appraisal or banking experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform appraisal reviews of complex one-to-four family residential real estate.
• Ensure consistency with USPAP, PHM policies, and generally accepted appraisal standards.
• Determine if the appraisal adequately addresses issues affecting property values such as size, location, market conditions, and physical property condition.
• Coordinate external research through lender systems, public records, or MLS data as needed.
• Correspond with appraisers to address issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain open communication with customers and vendors regarding appraiser list and related issues.
• Collaborate with Loan Processors, Underwriters, Mortgage Consultants, and Operations Compliance to ensure appraisal independence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
