CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Senior Regulatory Counsel to serve as a legal and compliance partner focused on mortgage origination. You will conduct regulatory research, provide practical guidance to leadership, and supervise a junior attorney.

The role supports our compliance program and regulatory change processes across the organization. You will translate regulatory requirements into actionable policies, procedures, and system needs, collaborating with multiple departments to

Competenze

• Juris Doctor and active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal or regulatory compliance experience in mortgage lending or financial services.
• Experience interpreting regulatory changes and advising on their implementation.
• Experience supervising or mentoring attorneys or compliance professionals, preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of mortgage origination laws and regulations, including TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA/Regulation X, ECOA/Regulation B, HMDA, FCRA, the SAFE Act, UDAAP, and state lending and licensing requirements.
• Advanced legal research, analysis, and writing skills, to effectively explain complex legal concepts to business and executive audiences.

• Research and analyze federal and state laws and regulations affecting CCM’s business activities.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice and recommendations to leadership and business stakeholders.
• Prepare legal memoranda and written analyses on complex regulatory and compliance matters.
• Interpret new and amended regulatory requirements and determine how they apply to CCM.
• Partner with the regulatory change implementation function on impact assessments and communication of regulatory change to business units.
• Support implementation of regulatory changes, including updates to policies and procedures.
• Review and resolve escalated legal and compliance matters from the compliance inbox.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical, risk-based guidance for business partners.
• Turn regulatory requirements into business and system requirements, controls, and processes for Encompass, Mavent, and other platforms.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a junior attorney, including assigning work and reviewing work product.
