Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Director of Compliance to provide strategic leadership across Compliance Operations, Testing, and Quality Assurance. You will partner with senior leaders to identify regulatory risks, strengthen internal controls, and drive timely corrective actions.

The role requires extensive experience in mortgage compliance, strong leadership, and collaboration with Legal and Technology teams to ensure examination readiness and ongoing compliance excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of risk management or consumer compliance in mortgage originations.
• 7+ years in a financial institution, preferably large/complex.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of Compliance Operations and Testing programs, including workflow management, daily operational escalations, and performance metrics.
• Evaluate test scripts, sampling methodologies, remediation responses, testing schedules, and new testing initiatives for consistency and effectiveness.
• Improve and monitor compliance operations metrics for workloads, timeliness, service levels, issue validation, and process effectiveness.
• Maintain ownership of RESPA Day 3, ECOA Day 30, HPML, Jumbo, Illinois APLD, Jira tickets, and related compliance support.
• Partner with Legal, Technology, and business leaders to strengthen controls and remediation.
• Support Branch Audit activities and coordinate timely collection of audit deliverables.
• Monitor findings and corrective actions through validation, resolution, and final disposition.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all testing activities.
• Coordinate development and presentation of compliance reporting packages with findings and risks.
• Analyze regulatory findings and coordinate responses and resolutions.
• Lead and develop domestic and offshore team members to promote accountability and collaboration.
