Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage is seeking a Pre Approval Manager to serve as a liaison between internal teams and borrowers, guiding the loan process from start to finish to help clients obtain the best financial program. The role requires mortgage processing experience and knowledge of regulatory guidelines.

You will review income, assets and credit, manage a diverse loan pipeline, and ensure documentation is complete for approval. Strong math, communication, and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 3–5 years residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.
• Knowledge of RESPA guidelines and mortgage regulations.
• Excellent math and analytics skills; strong communication, prioritization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by communicating with borrowers to explain loan programs, costs, and documents.
• Review and audit income, assets, run DU and verify credit documentation.
• Review mortgage loan disclosures and deliver to borrower, including rate disclosures and re-disclosures.
• Assist in managing a pipeline of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203k, Jumbo, and reverse mortgage products.
• Ensure loan structure presents the best program based on borrower finances.
• Review the file for missing documentation to support approval.
• Communicate loan program and costs with borrowers (license required).
• Pre-underwrite items to support approval (pay stubs, credit reports, W2s, bank statements, etc.).
• Input data for disclosures and set up loan to fit borrower needs.
