Job summary

Community First Credit Union in Jacksonville, FL seeks an AVP of Mortgage Operations to lead daily mortgage processing, pipeline management, closing readiness, and quality control, ensuring timely closings with strong regulatory discipline.

You will partner with production, underwriting, servicing, and technology teams, coach staff, and drive process improvements to scale mortgage operations while maintaining excellent member service.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible mortgage lending, mortgage operations, real estate lending, or loan fulfillment experience.
• Minimum of three years of leadership, supervisory, or operational management experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily mortgage operations, including processing, pipeline movement, closing readiness, loan documentation, task management, and service-level monitoring.
• Coach and develop mortgage operations teammates, including processors, closers, coordinators, or other staff.
• Ensure productivity, accuracy, turnaround times, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor pipeline activity to identify bottlenecks and improve cycle times.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support timely loan fulfillment.
