Job summary

Stretto is hiring an accomplished Mitigator III in the United States to manage mortgage modification program cases from intake to final resolution. You will gather and validate borrower information, prepare submissions, and coordinate with counsel, creditors, and the Court.

You will apply MMP rules, supervise portal activity, review documentation for accuracy, and train teammates in procedures. The role demands strong organization and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of mortgage loss mitigation, including loan modification and related terms.
• Experience with bankruptcy, court orders, and MMP procedures.
• Ability to interpret Court orders and deadlines clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage mortgage modification matters from intake to final resolution.
• Schedule and conduct client interviews; gather required information.
• Review data for completeness and currency; resolve issues.
• Prepare and quality-control loss mitigation packages; upload to Portal.
• Guide participants through rules, deadlines and required documentation.
• Support Portal access, create user guides and assist with workflow questions.
• Monitor case activity and deadlines to keep matters progressing.
• Schedule and document MMP conferences and notices in Portal.
• Document non-compliance and escalate delays with supporting evidence.
• Oversee trial loan modifications and final outcomes with Portal access.
• Maintain confidential case notes and coordinate with external professionals.
• Train and supervise team members on procedures and quality standards.
