Replit is seeking an experienced Product Engineering leader to own the monetization infrastructure. You will architect and implement billing systems, deliver seamless payment experiences, and build APIs that empower engineers to monetize new products.

The role emphasizes autonomous work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on pricing experiments, coupons, and referral programs to drive revenue while ensuring a friendly user experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering experience with strong backend focus.
• Experience with subscription platforms, usage-based billing, SaaS taxation, payment platforms, or tokenization.
• Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex billing edge cases.
• Experience building customer-facing billing interfaces that simplify pricing.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of monetization systems at Replit.
• Create seamless payment experiences for product-led and sales-led motions.
• Build abstractions and APIs for engineers to monetize new products.
• Iterate on pricing and packaging to drive revenue growth (coupons, referrals).
• Create monitoring and feedback systems to spot problems and optimize performance.
