Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. is seeking a CLIA Director for the Molecular Characterization Laboratory at the Frederick National Laboratory in Frederick, MD. The role directs two CLIA laboratories, reviews NGS results, and oversees assay development and validation.

You'll join the senior leadership team, contribute to translational studies, and mentor staff while ensuring CLIA compliance and quality standards in a high-stakes oncology research environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or DC (Maryland license required after offer).
• Board certification in pathology (anatomic and/or clinical).
• Board certification in molecular pathology at offer time.
• Experience directing or supervising high-complexity testing in oncology/molecular pathology (≥3 years).

Responsibilities

• Oversee two CLIA laboratories and review NGS and other clinical assay results.
• Lead development/validation of new clinical assays and genomic technologies.
• Present findings at scientific conferences and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise laboratory staff and mentor junior scientists.
