Job summary
BD is seeking a Molding Maintenance Manager to lead all molding maintenance activities, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and efficiency. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for molding machines, molds, and tooling while driving cost control, safety, and continuous improvement.
The role partners with Production, Engineering and Quality to meet goals. Qualified candidates will have a engineering or scientific background with 4+ years in the medical device industry, plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field + 4 years experience in med device industry
- Master's Degree + 3 years of experience in med device industry
- Ph.D. + no experience required
- Scientific Molding Certification preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance of molding equipment, molds, and auxiliary systems.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
- Drive root-cause analysis and Six Sigma-based improvements.
- Lead and develop maintenance technicians and toolroom staff.
- Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across the team.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules aligned with production needs.
- Oversee mold maintenance, repair, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams on NPI and process transfers.
- Monitor performance data to drive asset reliability and cost efficiency.
- Manage capital projects and upgrades for equipment and facilities.
