Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ten (10) years of related experience as a mold maker.
• Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
• Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
• Proficient in time management and communication skills.
• Red Seal is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection, complete work documentation, maintain material identification, and move work piece.
• Fit and assemble a mold including locating holes, fitting mold components, and inspecting mold.
• Repair molds used to mass produce plastic or metal components or products.
• Perform work-in-progress measurements using precision tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean workspace and organize materials.
• Document actions and needs across shifts to ensure continuity.
• Devise a mold-building plan and assemble tooling stock materials.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and work-process documentation.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift to move and prepare molds for presses and trials.
