Qualifications

• 10+ years in a role as a mold maker, benching and fitting mold components.
• Experience working in a mold shop or tool shop making new cavities.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Fit mold components together with a mold base.
• Mentor new team members and assist in their training.
• Work from verbal directions and blueprints.

Skills

Proficiency in Knee Mill

Proficiency in Turret or manual lathe

Proficiency in Surface grinder

Proficiency in Radial arm drill press

Tig welding of mold cavities

Laser welding (Yag or flex weld repair application)

Understanding of tool steels

Programming experience of Master Cam

Tools
