Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking an experienced Mold Machine Operator Senior in Portland, OR to operate complex molding machines, prepare tooling dies, and ensure quality and dimensional accuracy of wax patterns and gating parts.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, inspecting wax parts, maintaining tooling, and assisting in the development of new tooling methods. Safety adherence and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 18–24 months of Mold Machine Operator experience.
• Able to read Technique Cards and load cards.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Written language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles, and positions tooling dies for operation and changes inserts for large parts.
• Sets up and monitors mold machine functions to maintain dimensional integrity.
• Operates equipment safely and ensures wax supplies and chills/solubles are available.
• Maintains and cleans dies, inspects wax parts for defects, and trims as needed.
• Trains less skilled operators and supports continuous improvement activities.
