Job summary

Clarios, LLC seeks a Senior Modeling Engineer to lead physics-based and data-driven models for next-generation automotive energy storage systems. You will create, validate, and apply models for batteries, BMS, charging systems, and vehicle electrical architectures to enable virtual design validation and accelerated product development.

The role requires collaboration across product development, systems engineering, controls, and customer engineering teams, with focus on energy storage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of modeling & simulation experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Simscape.
• Experience with state-space modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical, thermal, electrochemical, and system-level models of energy storage products.
• Create battery equivalent circuit models and reduced-order/physics-based representations.
• Develop aging, degradation, SOC, SOH, SOP, and RUL prediction models.
• Build system simulations for 12V/48V architectures and xEV functions.
• Correlate simulations with lab and vehicle test data and validate models.
